Alex Crisses, by means of his work at Insight Venture Partners, focuses on infrastructure software and internet investments. He is a Principal at Insight Venture Partners (Insight). Insight Venture Partners, established in 1995, is an investor that focuses on entrepreneurs. The Company invests in expansion and late-stage software, Internet, and data-enabled companies. He invested in Shunra Software, a company that is the industry-recognized authority in Application Performance Engineering (APE) as well as a pioneer in WAN Emulation. In addition, he invested in GFI Software (GFI), an organization that produces effective, award-winning Information Technology (IT) solutions for small and medium-sized firms.

Alex Crisses obtained his Masters in Business Administration with High Distinction from Harvard Business School. He’s a George F. Baker Scholar from this academic institution. Before receiving his Masters in Business Administration , he graduated out of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from this university. Additionally, he received the Highest Honor of the school. He uses his skills and acumen acquired from his academic studies to make wise investments in progressive and innovative infrastructure software and internet companies.

Alex Crisses has practical business experience in the field of investment banking. He worked as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Global Energy and Power Group ahead of joining Insight Venture Partners in 2002. Additionally, Mr. Crisses was a member of the Board of Directors for GFI Software. In addition, he served as an observer on the Board of Directors for Scriptologic Corporation. His business experience proves useful to him in his business initiatives, including in his leadership role in Insight Venture Partner’s investment in SolarWinds, Inc. Founded in 1999, SolarWinds is a top provider of Windows-based network management, network monitoring, and network discovery software.

While devoting substantial effort to his business obligations, Alex Crisses also makes time for non-profit endeavors. He is an advocate of the initiatives that NYC-based Minds Matter involves in. Minds Matter is a charitable entity for high school students who are underprivileged. This not-for-profit institution assists students who have achieved academic success in high school, prepare for advanced education to assist in promoting their careers in the professions they choose. Previously, Mr. Crisses was Minds Matter’s Director of Fundraising and Executive Committee member. Overall, pertaining to charitable organizations and businesses, he targets his time and effort to promote progressive programs so these organizations can attain their objectives.
