Alex Crisses, by means of his work at Insight Venture Partners, focuses primarily on internet and infrastructure software investments. He’s a Principal at Insight Venture Partners (Insight). Established in 1995, Insight is an investor that focuses on entrepreneurs. Insight invests in expansion and late-stage software, data-enabled and Internet enterprises. Mr. Crisses works with, and gives support to, entrepreneurs and management who are working to grow their organizations in the most effective possible way. He invested in Shunra Software, an organization that is the industry-recognized authority in Application Performance Engineering (APE) and a pioneer in WAN Emulation. Alex Crisses achieved his Masters in Business Administration with High Distinction from the Harvard Business School. He’s a George F. Baker Scholar out of this educational institution. Before receiving his MBA, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics from Wharton. Furthermore, he was the recipient of the school’s Highest Honor. He utilizes his skills and acumen gained from his studies to make astute investments in progressive and innovative internet and infrastructure software firms.

Alex Crisses has practical business experience in the field of investment banking. He worked as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Global Energy and Power Group previous to joining Insight Venture Partners in 2002. On top of that, Mr. Crisses was a GFI Software Board of Directors member. He additionally served as an observer on the Board of Directors for Scriptologic Corporation. His business expertise proves valuable to him in his business projects, such as in his leadership role in Insight’s investment in SolarWinds, Inc. SolarWinds, established in 1999, is a leading provider of Windows-based network management, network monitoring, and network discovery software.

While investing significant effort to his business obligations, Alex Crisses also makes time for non-profit endeavors. He is an advocate of the ventures that New York City-based Minds Matter involves in. Minds Matter is a charitable organization for high school students who are underprivileged. This non-profit organization assists students who have achieved academic success in high school, prepare for advanced education to assist in promoting their careers in the disciplines they choose. Mr. Crisses was formerly Minds Matter’s Director of Fundraising and Executive Committee member.
