He also invested in GFI Software (GFI), a company that creates robust, award-winning IT solutions for small and medium-sized firms.
Alex Crisses achieved his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with High Distinction from the Harvard Business School. He is a George F. Baker Scholar from this academic institution. Prior to receiving his MBA, he graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from this school. Moreover, he was the recipient of the Highest Honor of the school. He utilizes his skills and acumen gained from his academic studies to make wise investments in progressive and innovative internet and infrastructure software companies.
Alex Crisses has practical business experience in the field of investment banking. He worked as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Global Energy and Power Group before joining Insight Venture Partners in 2002. Furthermore, Mr. Crisses was a member of the Board of Directors for GFI Software. He additionally served as an observer on the Board of Directors for Scriptologic Corporation. His business experience proves valuable to him in his business initiatives, such as in his leadership role in Insight’s investment in SolarWinds, Inc. SolarWinds, founded in 1999, is a leading provider of Windows-based network management, network monitoring, and network discovery software.
While devoting significant effort to his business responsibilities, Alex Crisses also makes time for charitable work. He is a supporter of the projects that New York City-based Minds Matter undertakes. Minds Matter is a charity for underprivileged high school students. This not for profit organization assists students who have achieved academic success in high school, prepare for advanced education to help promote their careers in the disciplines of their choosing. Mr. Crisses was formerly Minds Matter’s Director of Fundraising and Executive Committee member.
